I\u2019ve been an MVP <\/a>now for 51 weeks.\u00a0 I\u2019m up for review and I\u2019ll know if I\u2019m renewed or not next week, probably Wednesday.\u00a0 I know that it won\u2019t be for Configuration Manager again.\u00a0 As fate would have it, I haven\u2019t work with ConfigMgr in a while.\u00a0 That means I\u2019ve nothing to blog about on that scene.\u00a0 I found myself working with Hyper-V early last Summer and I deployed VMM 2008 the week it was released \u2026 from a hotel room in Barcelona at TechEd EMEA.\u00a0 It consumed a lot of my time.\u00a0 I learned a lot about those products.\u00a0 I\u2019ve done my best to share that here on the blog and by speaking at events here in Ireland, UK and the USA.\u00a0 That\u2019s set to continue this year; we\u2019ll be upgrading to W2008 R2 once VMM 2008 R2 is released.\u00a0 That\u2019ll give me more things to learn and share.<\/p>\n

Being an MVP has been cool.\u00a0 I\u2019ve access to great sources of information, some of which I can share and some which remain under NDA for some time.\u00a0 The perks have been cool.\u00a0 My only regret was being unable to go to the MVP summit.\u00a0 I\u2019ll see how the budget is for that next year.\u00a0 And who knows what surprises lie ahead at work for me to learn\/blog about!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
