I\u2019ve noticed that Live Search has been spiking in my statistics lately.\u00a0 But it\u2019s been very weird searches that caused the hits.\u00a0 They always come in the form of \u201chttp:\/\/search.live.com\/results.aspx?q=\u201d with some very random word at the end.\u00a0 I\u2019ve repeated the search manually and it was pretty obvious this was the work of a \u201cbot\u201d.\u00a0 I did some research and found lots of web pro\u2019s complaining about this \u201cspam\u201d as they referred to it.\u00a0 It definitely was the work of a \u201cbot\u201d. <\/p>\n
I just realised why Microsoft are doing it.\u00a0 If I use Live Search, it does some predictive text prompting.\u00a0 So does Google.\u00a0 This is done using words I\u2019ve not searched for before.\u00a0 I\u2019ve only noticed it in the last few days.\u00a0 Maybe it\u2019s been around for a while. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
