They will partner with the likes of EMC, VMware, Intel, Microsoft, CA and \u2026 BMC.\u00a0  <\/p>\n<p>This move will put them head to head with the likes of Dell, HP and IBM.\u00a0 The server world is moving towards virtualisation.\u00a0 90% of physical servers will end up being virtualisation hosts so it makes sense to aim at this market.\u00a0 There\u2019s two things we know that won\u2019t really change too much in demand: storage and networking.\u00a0 Cisco aren\u2019t a storage company but they are a networking company, despite their efforts to become better known as a \u201cunified communications\u201d company. <\/p>\n<p>BMC hmmm?\u00a0 I know them only for the Patrol product.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t like it because it required you to pretty much complete it with scripting and programming.\u00a0 I wonder if something bigger isn\u2019t going on.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Reuters has reported that Cisco will indeed sell servers for the data centre.
