{"id":9035,"date":"2008-02-26T17:00:00","date_gmt":"1999-11-29T20:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aidanfinn.com\/?p=9035"},"modified":"2008-02-26T17:00:00","modified_gmt":"1999-11-29T20:00:00","slug":"pubforum-2008","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aidanfinn.com\/?p=9035","title":{"rendered":"PubForum 2008"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I will not only be attending <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pubforum.info\/welcome\/PubForumEvents\/PubForum2008Dublin\/PubForum2008DublinInformation\/tabid\/70\/Default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">PubForum 2008<\/a> but I will be speaking at it.\u00a0 The event is being held in Dublin from May 9th until the 11th in the Camden Court Hotel in Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2.<\/p>\n<p>PubForum is run by Alex Yushchenko, a Terminal Services MVP and virtualisation pro.\u00a0 The idea is to educate about server based computing (AKA thin client) and virtualisation.\u00a0 As the name suggests, there is also some beer consumed.\u00a0 The types of people present include the biggest names in this market in Europe.\u00a0 I was at a previous event in Brussels in 2006 as a delegate and it was a real eye opener on how big and complex this market it &#8230; I just thought there was Microsoft, Citrix and VMware.\u00a0 Damn, I was wrong!\u00a0 It was also a lot of fun &#8230; I barely remember me and a colleague spending endless hours with a bunch of crazy Swedes and Norwegians in the hotel bar every night.<\/p>\n<p>My presentation is called &quot;Adventures In Blade\/SAN\/Virtualisation and My &#8216;Ideal&#8217; Design&quot; .. basically what I&#8217;ve learned while doing this sort of thing in the past, what I&#8217;m also doing right now and what I&#8217;d do with unlimited budget.\u00a0 It&#8217;s bound to be an hour of &#8230; open debate \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I will not only be attending PubForum 2008 but I will be speaking at it.\u00a0 The event is being held in Dublin from May 9th until the 11th in the Camden Court Hotel in Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2.
