Here in Ireland, we get a \u201cshow\u201d debate on Fine Gael\/Labour\/Sean Sherlock SOPA next Tuesday at 6pm in the D\u00e1il (parliament).\u00a0 It\u2019s mere window dressing as one TD (D\u00e1il member) said to me by email today.\u00a0 They\u2019re going to blindly push through with this crap unless we make it clear that we\u2019re very angry<\/em>, and we\u2019ll make them go the way of the Dodo bird \u2026 kinda like we did to the PDs in the last elections \"Smile\"<\/p>\n

The media are refusing<\/em> to cover this story.\u00a0 Those 1 or 2 mainstream outlets that do, are burying it way down.\u00a0 So if you\u2019re in Ireland, tell your friends, tell your colleagues, tell your family, and get them to visit http:\/\/stopsopaireland.com\/<\/a> and to sign the online petition.\u00a0 We need to keep the pressure on the government on this one.<\/p>\n

And for everyone everywhere, you need to be aware of ACTA.\u00a0 It\u2019s SOPA on steroids, and every major country seems to have signed up to the treaty.\u00a0 You need to fight this one, and that includes you folks in the USA.\u00a0 Learn about it and contact your local representatives to voice your protest if you disagree with this treaty.\u00a0 Here in the EU, you can voice your objections with this petition<\/a>.<\/p>\n
