Additionally, the status for one of the duplicate VMs is set to <strong>Missing<\/strong>.\u00a0If you try to remove the missing VM from the SCVMM Administrator Console window, the VM is not removed. <\/em><\/p>\n<h4 id=\"tocHeadRef\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Issue 2<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><\/script><em>Consider the following scenario: <\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>You install the Hyper-V role on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2. <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>You configure the computer to start from a virtual hard disk. <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>The computer is part of a Hyper-V failover cluster. The cluster is configured to use cluster shared volumes. <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>You try to create a\u00a0VM on a cluster shared volume by using SCVMM 2008 R2.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>In this scenario, the operation fails together with the 2912 (0x8004232C) error code. <\/em><\/p>\n<h4 id=\"tocHeadRef\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Issue 3<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><\/script><em>The Virtual Machine Manager service (Vmmservice.exe) crashes\u00a0if the following conditions are true:<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>System Center Operations Manager 2007 integration is enabled. <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>A Performance and Resource Optimization (PRO) feature-enabled management pack is imported into Operations Manager. <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>The PRO settings for a host group are changed on the SCVMM server.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The package\u00a0also includes 3 previous hotfix rollup packages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/aidanfinn.com\/kb\/982522\/\">982522<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/aidanfinn.com\/kb\/978560\/\">978560<\/a>\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/aidanfinn.com\/kb\/976244\/\">976244<\/a>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft has released a new hotfix rollup package for System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2.\u00a0 There are 3 included fixes: Issue 1 Duplicate virtual machines (VMs) may appear in the SCVMM Administrator Console window after a Hyper-V VM in a cluster fails over to another cluster\u00a0node.
